Fields of application

Fire-resistant dampers of special design and use are used in order to close openings in fire-resistant inner walls and ceilings, intended for the air intake, in the event of a fire. The fire-resistant damper BKA-Ü is in possession of the general building supervisory approval No. Z-6.50-2012 and prevents passage of heat, flames and smoke for a period of at least 90 minutes, based on the criteria of a standardised fire according to EN 1363-1 and the completed tests according to EN 1366-2.

Function

Fire-resistant dampers of special design close automatically in the event of a fire due to thermoelectric triggering or smoke detection. In this way, they prevent propagation of the fire and transmission of smoke to adjacent fire lobbies.
